W 168 Anglican Ordination Rites: The Berkeley Statement 'To Equip the Saints'

The Sixth International Anglican Liturgical Consultation, held in California in 2001, considered the nature of ordination and the implications of this for ordination liturgies. It built on work done in previous consultations as well as ecumenical discussion.

The resulting findings offer a clear, coherent and incisive comment on the nature of ordained ministry and the ordination rite. Presented together with relevant comment from recent ecumenical documents, it forms essential reading for all those concerned with and affected by the revision of the ordinal and the practice of ordination.
