S 89 Gospel and Sacrament: Reclaiming a Holistic Evangelical Spirituality

There is a strand in Evangelical spirituality which downplays the significance of the sacrament of Communion - indeed, it appears to believe that Christianity itself is spiritual, not sacramental. But is this true to biblical faith? Is it even true to the inheritance of Evangelicalism itself?

Philip Seddon, in a wide-ranging and provocative study, offers an impassioned plea for a recovery of a holistic Evangelical spirituality, with all the implications that has for a renewed understanding of God's purposes for creation in Christ.
