P 92 Counting Sheep: Attendance Patterns and Pastoral Strategy (2002)

Church attendance appears to be in decline. But little attention has been focussed on changing patterns and total numbers attending.

A thorough survey in one deanery discovered much wider contact with the community than had been realised and identified a key group in the church that was often missed.

With guidance on how to undertake a similar exercise, this study is a wake-up call to those responsible for planning pastoral strategy.
