Ev 75 Conversion Today (2006)

The idea of 'conversion' suffers a bad press, being associated with compulsion, emotionalism or brainwashing. Yet the history of Christianity is readily told through a story of significant conversions, from St Paul to John Wesley.

This refreshing study offers an honest engagement with the biblical material and a careful consideration of personal and group dynamics, and reflects on recent research. It calls for a change in our practice to reflect the reality that the process of conversion is nearly always marked by significant moments.
