Ian Terry trained as a teacher in York and taught in southern Africa and held three school chaplaincies. He researched church school values (PhD) whilst Hereford Diocesan Director of Education, and is currently, whilst Team Rector of Bournemeouth Town Centre Parish, Visiting Fellow with Bournemouth University, engaged in doctoral research (DTh) in practical theology with Winchester University.
