It is often claimed that Church schools must, by their commitment to Christian faith, inevitably be narrowing than their context, and create problems for any commitment to diversity.

But is that really the case? By taking four (anonymised) examples from the Birmingham area, this study offers real examples of unity in diversity, and practical ways of making this real in other contexts.
