Trevor Cooling is Director of the National Institute for Christian Education Research at Canterbury Christ Church University, and works with the'Transforming Lives' Project, an interdenominational initiative that promotes teaching as a Christian vocation. He has been active in education for over 30 years as a teacher, a head of RE, a chief executive of a Christian education charity, a university lecturer and a diocesan schools adviser. He has a PhD in Religious Education, though his first degree is in biology.
