B 32 Matthew's Jesus

Matthew's is not quite the longest of the gospels, but it has often been the most popular. He offers us a narrative icon, a story-picture of Jesus, faithful to what Jesus did and said but also showing what the story means.

John Proctor's many years of study and teaching are made refreshingly available in this lyrical study. It has helpful guidance for new readers of Matthew, but is also rich with insight and ideas for experienced readers, preachers and teachers.
