S 158 Spiritual Reading: Bible Reading as a Spiritual Discipline (2021)

Reading the Bible often inadvertently involves a limited range of ways of engaging with Scripture, often prioritizing the life of the mind, the conceptual things we learn or ideas in the text.

While those are important parts of spiritual reading, this guide sets sail for a wider, more generous understanding of how to read Scripture as whole people, engaging our reading as part of our life in the Spirit, and with the goal of transformation of the self into the image of Christ.
