This study explores the practical, pastoral and theological issues and shows why, though churches might find this a difficult are to consider, they are key agencies in addressing the problems.

Richard Clark has been Vicar of St Andrew's, Nottingham since 1992. In 2000 he founded the Jericho Road project'To be a beacon of hope in Nottingham by showing the love of Jesus and seeking his restoration for those affected by the sex industry.' Richard has been involved in the leadership of a number of inner-city regeneration or outreach projects, and is a consultant church leader and teacher for the Trumpet Call and Notts Prayer Networks. He is married to Sue, who is a volunteer in the project. Richard and Sue enjoy bird watching together, and researching their family history.
