Dr Andrew Smith is the Leader of Youth Encounter for Scripture Union, a project which exists to help Christian young people in Britain live out their faith amongst their Muslim friends. Prior to this, Andrew spent ten years as a Scripture Union schools' worker, in schools where the vast majority of pupils were Muslims. Andrew is the Christian Youth Specialist on the National Christian Muslim Forum. He is married to Sarah, a headteacher at a Church of England primary school in a multi-faith area, they have two boys at primary school and worship at St Christopher's Church, Springfield, Birmingham.
