The Revd Dr Michael B Thompson’s University of Cambridge doctorate was on the influence of Jesus’ teaching and example on Paul; his ‘Clothed with Christ’ remains in print. After teaching for seven years at St John’s College, Nottingham, he was Vice-Principal and taught New Testament and Greek at Ridley Hall, Cambridge for 25 years before retiring in 2020. An Episcopal priest originally from North Carolina, his special interests are early Christian history, Pauline theology and ethics and guitar playing.
